Ok,I started this in the on the workbench thread, but it seems to be more appropriate here.
I haven't done much with it yet, but I got some parts and have to share them with you! Got some axle center sections so there has been progress.http://i1226.photobucket.com/albums/ee406/steve7119/DavesGrillWork05-28-11.jpg" />
I was lamenting to a buddy of mine that I was having trouble figuring out how do make the correct grill for this truck since the model is of a 50-59 Jeep. He told me he thought he could help, he works in manufacturing, specifically, this is the kind of thing he does for a living. Sent him a photo, we got together with the measurements on his CAD program and 2 weeks later this is what he gave me back! I asked him for a master that I could cast in resin since I have several versions of this truck I want to do. He was talking about laser cutting something from plastic so I thought, great, the back will be flat and the grill bars will be strong enough to cast in resin. Needles to say, I have to take this truck up a notch. I can now recreate the inside of the grill and engine compartment just as it is in 1:1.
