Scale I Build

  1. I just got this one finished up it’s a combination of parts from the AMT model T for the body and front axle assembly with the wish bones from the Atlantis fiat . I did cut the pickup bed shorter and used the interior cover from the parts pack T .The frame and long block are from the AMT double dragster . The valve covers are are comp resin the blower is an old revell piece that been resting in my parts box for years. I’m not sure what the belt drive came from. The injector scoop is from the MPC Ohio George Mustang gasser. The rear wheels and slicks are also left overs from the Atlantis Fiat the rear is a parts box item relocated in a more forward position on the frame. I used one of the optional seats with belts from AMT’S 1964 Olds 442 hard top .I covered it with testors yellow enamel topped with decals from joe at Freemont resin. I’m really thrilled how this one came out using all leftover parts. Until next time thanks for looking. Mike
  2. I have been waiting to build this one for quite awhile now .By building a bunch of altered’s I became reinspired to get it done. For the main kit I used The iconic AMT double T kit most of the HEMI came out of the double dragster kit , the headers are made from solder and aluminum tubing. I think they really make the build. I used the wheels out the Revell Ms Deal kit this kit also gave up it’s front wish bones which I used for the ladder bars the slicks are AMT . I made the pick up box from balsa wood. The hydro transmission , and front spring and axle are left over parts from the Atlantis Fiat . The rear housing along with the steering wheel is from the AMT 56 Ford . I made the fuel tank mount from a paper clip , and the injector scoop was a leftover part from the AMT 40 Willy’s kit. I sprayed it with Testors fiery orange with wet look clear. No decals exist for this so I did the lettering by hand. I think it’s a pretty good representation these street roadsters are a whole lotta fun to create , and right now they’re are a whole bunch of parts available to bush them together. Until next time thanks for looking ?, Mike
