My quest for this Exoto Chaparral 2E has finally ended. Took possession of this beauty today. There are many working features on this model and i will include as much as I can under the pictures. This is one of the last pieces I was seeking for my Chaparral collection. I still have to build the Fisher version of this car and now I am anxious to get to it. Thanks for looking. I bought this version in the prototype form with no numbers or sponsers. I may add them later if I can find a good sheet. This is my favorite angle of this car showing the business end. Note all the screens and exterior detail, they didn't miss too much/. Side veiw, the wing strut is detachable and adjustable. Many working features on this car, inclusding, steering throught the wheel. working suspension, opening doors and removable panel and setabelts. All done to perfection. Some fo the incredible detail on this diecast. Not too many lines or detail missing here. Not too many people know the Chaparral 2E had two wings. The second is visible at the bottom of the picture. Both wings were activated by the same pedal. the front wing is hidden under the front body panel. More incredible detail in the business end, Luv those exhaust pipes. I have checked some of this against the actual car and most of it is spot on. Interior detail is also accurate with period correct seat belts. See some more of the front weing detail at the top of the pic. The whole collection of 2E's. Front #65 is my re-visitied IMC kit in 1/24. The #66 in front is an LS kit with added wheels and details. Not a very good kit and it is actually supposed tobe a 2G, In the back is my old IMC kit that was done circa 1965.
