Greg Myers Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 (edited) Was this the first one up ? or was it the"See Through" "CLEAR ( We didn't do it this time because the CLEAR would be too brittle )" King Richard version ? Yes the whole body was clear. Edited March 20, 2015 by Greg Myers
Greg Myers Posted March 20, 2015 Author Posted March 20, 2015 (edited) Next up were the Red and black Street Machines, the Red being first. The Black version has the same NASCAR wheels found in the Petty and Baker kits. Edited March 20, 2015 by Greg Myers
Greg Myers Posted March 20, 2015 Author Posted March 20, 2015 And every ones favorite Now here's the thing, aside from the body, wheels, decals and the blowers and side pipes on the Street Machines, they're all the same underneath. Same Chassis, but just the same a whole lot to work with and in a BIG scale so's ya can see what yer doin'.
Greg Myers Posted March 20, 2015 Author Posted March 20, 2015 Last one , same as the "Clear" body Petty kit but no clear ( "It's too Brittle" ) and it's "Loaded with Features and Big On Details". Which indeed it is.
Greg Myers Posted March 20, 2015 Author Posted March 20, 2015 (edited) Last one out, (best part of this kit is the teaser on the side panel). this is what I was talkin' about. mentioned on the side of the box. Edited March 20, 2015 by Greg Myers
Greg Myers Posted March 20, 2015 Author Posted March 20, 2015 (edited) and the Rod Shop Vette was based on this early gem. Edited March 20, 2015 by Greg Myers
Greg Myers Posted March 21, 2015 Author Posted March 21, 2015 (edited) you could make a few different cars from this keeping within the NASCAR theme. and I believe, some one may have made some resin parts to do these. Edited March 21, 2015 by Greg Myers
kitbash1 Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 do they make decals for these Yes they do, try Dave Van ( he's a member here ) he has decals for a number of cars. Also the resin conversion for the Dukes kit is at Resin Motor Replicas, this will change the dukes charger into a Daytona Charger. You can try Lobo Graphics for decals as well.
80mirada Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 I think the black street machine came before the red one, my brother had the black one for a while before I got the red one. The black one had the same style wheels as the nascar version.
gray07 Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 I always thought the red one had better looking rims. then the black one
