SpreadAxle Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 It's finally done. All that is left is to add the trailer air lines (which will be added when the trailer is completed) and the tie rod. It's the first one I've finished in a couple of years. For those that didn't see the in progress thread, this is a rebuild of a truck I finished back in '08. It didn't survive a long distance move and had to be redone. The mods I made are working steering, conversion to a daycab, cab lift cylinders. shortened fuel tanks, shortened bumper, chassis air lines, light weathering and other minor things. Thanks for looking.
Superpeterbilt Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 Great job. To me, this is a hard kit to make look good and I like this one. That's a mighty narrow road to stop and take a pic
SpreadAxle Posted April 2, 2015 Author Posted April 2, 2015 Thanks. I thought the rail was wider, but it I managed to make it fit.
72 Charger Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 It looks like a long way for it to fall too . Nice day cab too
Petetrucker07 Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 Nice job on the restoration. Looks a local fleet truck. Well done.
trick my mixer Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 Nice old Jimmy. I still recall first time I drove one . I could not believe how big the front windows were. .....Looks good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
