If you read the descriptions for each area, it's pretty easy to figure out what goes where. It's nor rocket science. I know,but what if the descriptions are not clear about what to do? Say for example there is an individual that had been a member on the forum for 30 minutes and s/he wants to post up pictures of their latest build of say a Group B rally car. If the only descriptions they have are: Under Glass Post your finished (pau) model cars here in all their glory–your online display case. Drag Racing Models If it goes in a straight line, post it here! NASCAR For all you NASCAR fans out there! It would probably lead to confusion since it is evident that racing categories are separated but only two (one fairly open one and one very specific) are where does the new member put the rally car in fear of messing up? If the name of NASCAR was to be changed to "Closed Track" or "Closed Course" and then "Staged event" or "Other racing" for Drag racing then there would be no issues! It is a job that should take under five minutes and would clear up a lot of confusion (Plus you wouldn't have to waist time with these threads defending the way you want it). As for the whole moving thing I understand the basics of wanting an organized forum but there are multiple times where I feel like it has either created unnecessary grief or been done so in a targeting manner. I've seen a few, but they're just in the cars' Under Glass, and people still see them... all I'm saying is that the existing threads work fine, nobody's topic is ignored if it's relevant or of decent quality, and no group is discriminated for what they build.

I've posted my preferred changes many times. But ultimately Gregg has to ok any changes... and after all this time he hasn't done so. That tells me he doesn't want to make any changes.
Guest Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 I would get rid of the NASCAR and Drag sections, then create one section called Motorsports with "On The Bench" and "Under Glass" sub sections. It could cover all forms of racing.

That tells me he doesn't want to make any changes. If this is the case then this topic should be locked. Nothing productive can be accomplished at this point. The least impact would be to revise the drag racing and nascar titles. Merging the two is not a practical option for the amount of work that would be required. Bottom line nothing is going to change if Gregg doesn't want to.
