Roadrunner Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 Yet another project I’d like to get wrapped up in the next couple of months, is this 1:35 Tamiya Jagdpanther. (I’m also a part time tread-head.) Almost ready for paint, pending my ordering of deck screens and tracks, (as well as the inevitable cleanup of dozens of road wheels). I’ll probably do this as a straight up yellow/brown, and set in a scene of a destroyed town. (Ironically, though I have gobs and gobs of references on the Panthers and Jagdpanthers, I'lll be adding no extra details to this, even though it could certainly benefit from it.)
atomicholiday Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 Me too. I've never tried building a tank yet.
Snake45 Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 I always thought those were pretty sharp looking. Do keep us posted on your progress on this!
Roadrunner Posted April 29, 2015 Author Posted April 29, 2015 Thanks for the comments, guys, I appreciate it.
Roadrunner Posted April 29, 2015 Author Posted April 29, 2015 I always thought those were pretty sharp looking. Do keep us posted on your progress on this! Me too. I already have a base that's pretty much ready to go (designed for an aborted 1:35 Russian JS-2), so that part will be pretty easy. If I had the engine deck screens, I'd be painting this already. Where I'll probably go nuts with details, will be when I tackle my Academy 1:25 Jagdpanther kit.
Roadrunner Posted May 1, 2015 Author Posted May 1, 2015 It's an utterly gorgeous day here today, so I've just been out sitting on the deck, cleaning road wheels. Here's the first set of sixteen middle wheels. Quite a pain in the rump, but necessary. Now it’s back to the sixteen inners and outers,… maybe.
