Crazy Ed Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 Who'd a thunk that on the same date 11 years later thousands of Allied Soldiers would be Landing in the Beachs of Normandy.
Roadrunner Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 Sad. I really miss the old drive-ins, there were four or five within very easy reach of my home.
chunkypeanutbutter Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 One in Bangor is reopening July 1st. 30 years since it was last open! https://www.facebook.com/BangorDriveIn
jeffs396 Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 LOVE the drive-in! Hope I didn't contribute to their fading away back in the 80s by loading four friends in the trunk of my Impala There are still several around here, we go as often as possible (no more trunk riders, although I could...still have the Impala!) The one close to my work actually stays open YEAR ROUND! They just don't show the movie if it snows too hard... That's one thing I've always thought about if I ever hit the lottery. I'd buy an old drive-in, renovate it, and have the BEST food, movies, and car cruises around!
Chuck Most Posted June 25, 2015 Posted June 25, 2015 One in Bangor is reopening July 1st. 30 years since it was last open! https://www.facebook.com/BangorDriveIn They should play Maximum Overdrive at that theater... Bangor Maine, Stephen King's hometown and all. I'd actually consider going all the way there to see it.

Chuck Most Posted June 26, 2015 Posted June 26, 2015 Stephen King is to Maine what Ted Nugent is to Michigan... seems like everyone has a sighting to report.
Custom Hearse Posted July 2, 2015 Author Posted July 2, 2015 The Route 66 Drive In is still showing movies, I went there when they were showing Transformers... http://66drivein.com/
