Aaronw Posted February 28, 2008 Posted February 28, 2008 I'm thinking about converting a Lindberg '53 Ford to a 4 door, but I'm wondering how much needs to change besides adding 2 more doors. Some cars seem to be fairly easy, fill and rescribe doors, others (I'm looking at you '58 Impala) would be a rather large undertaking. I'm hoping I will discover the Ford falls into the first group. I don't have a really good eye for picking up some of the smaller changes, like modified roof lines etc unless they really jump out at you. So any help here? Thanks
Frank Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 Hendrix resin make a 53 Ford 4 door body that uses the Linberberg 53 as a donor kit.

Joe Nunes Posted March 1, 2008 Posted March 1, 2008 Hey, Jairus! I sometimes raise the roof when I get my California Fat Tele out and play it..........what's that got to do with putting two extra doors on a '53 Ford?
Jairus Posted March 1, 2008 Posted March 1, 2008 The Victoria uses a Convertible windshield frame and roof line. The 2 door sedan, 4 door sedan and Stationwagon use a slightly taller roof line. The Lindberg kit is a Victora, therefore if you are going to add 4 door, door lines then you need to add posts and raise the roof slightly. This is a 4 door wagon master that I did for Jimmy Flintstone..... ... and yeah, I raised the roof!
novadose71 Posted March 1, 2008 Posted March 1, 2008 I got one of those wagon bodies from Jimmy a few weeks ago. Nice work Jairus.
Joe Nunes Posted March 1, 2008 Posted March 1, 2008 Way to go on that wagon body, Jairus!!! That is COOL.
