gasman Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 with the upcoming "Get Smart" movie it would have been a fantastic time for AMT to reissue the hard to find Sunbeam Tiger kit, but with AMT still currently "For Sale" I highly doubt if we'll see it happen. There is a Sunbeam Tiger in the new movie
RyanSilva Posted March 1, 2008 Posted March 1, 2008 Id love to have one myself, id love to build a tiny sport gasser out of one.
CAL Posted March 1, 2008 Posted March 1, 2008 I'd like one, too. I always like Sunbeam Tigers. Almost bought a real one once.
Phil Patterson Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 I've always wanted one too, but it seems to elude me. I'd happily take Ann Hathaway as a consolation prize, however!
HotRodaSaurus Posted March 5, 2008 Posted March 5, 2008 Many of the small British and European sportscars would be good sellers I think, there is always a god price for the Revell Austin Healey and how about the French make' Record', they did a great Renault Floride/Caravelle and its counterpart the Dauphine. The original small Airfix European cars are still regular sellers but the moulds are now a bit tired. How about some carefully chosen new releases, Tamiya's Mk II Jaguar was a hit when that came out. though the diecast makers do seem to have the upper hand with quality 1/43 in the sports car stakes. Canada Jeff Posted March 5, 2008 Posted March 5, 2008 Maybe the AMT negotiaions are being held under The Cone of Silence, and that's what's taking so long. "We want to retain licensing royalties." ---"You want to display rice and boiled peas?" "What?" ---"WHAT?"
