ismaelg Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 Hello, I'll be in Houston next week on meetings and the following week in El Paso. Not much spare time with a busy schedule but just in case, any good hobby shops in those areas? Thanks,
BIGTRUCK Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 Hi Izzy, I've been to 3 in Texas, M&M HOBBY CENTER in Bellaire Tx close to Houston and Larry Hobbies in Houston they were OK but I do remember one of them having a real car above the store sign. The best hobby shop was in Irving Tx called Wild Bills, that place was packed with stuff, and an RC track in back outside, but if your time is limited Wild Bills is north 5 hours. I drove a tractor trailer to these places so you in a rental car should be a breeze.
kilrathy10 Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 (edited) Hate to say it, Bud, but both M&M Hobbies and Larry's Hobbies, here in Houston, have close up shop for good... ..I believe there is one more that caters to plastic modelers like us, but I'd have to look for their card.....Plenty of RC shops around town, but nothing that does plastic, any more.....I'm sure the internet stores have a lot to do with it, but that's the way it goes, I guess....I'll try to get back to you, soon, with that other shop's information.....Don't know anything about El Paso.... Its been a lot of years since I've been to any shops in Texas , I still have their business cards I collected from when I stopped in.
