kmjmusic Posted July 30, 2015 Share Posted July 30, 2015 Building this one for a friend on mine. No complaints so far but I had a major paint issue. Used some Duplicolor from a rattle can (I believe it was an enamel) and it wrinkled really bad. After soaking it in some dot3 and a good scub/sanding I started over with some Tamiya metallic blue and still got a wrinkle problem. I'm using the same primer I have used on all my other builds, and same cleaning sanding techniques. Any chance it could be the molded plastic itself? The rest of the model painted fine. Used testors enamel, no problems. Still scratching my head on this one. After checking the duplicolor bottle it was a acrylic lacquer.
