rsxse240 Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 Hello, all! I am in need of assistance finding some tires for some Fujimi "BBS 17inch SILVER RIM" wheels. You see the tires that come in the wheel set are too tall for my VW rabbit kit and I would like some much lower profile tires for the rims. here's a link to HLJ to show the box: http://www.hlj.com/product/FUJ19153/Aut Now as you can see, the rims look great on the car, but the tires are way too big: and just in case you all wanted to see the whole body painted brown any help sourcing a set of tires would be greatly appreciated. I have a set of Pegasus 17" tires, but they're closer to 19" compared to fujimi or maybe the difference in scale. Anyway, they're too big.
rsxse240 Posted August 18, 2015 Author Posted August 18, 2015 well, I guess I'll be going with another type of wheel for this one. I'd really like to find some BBS RG in 15", but that's never gonna happen. I ended up finding a set of wheels from a late 80s Dodge Daytona and tires from an old AMT Blueprinter Datsun 240Z.
sbvwfanatic Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 Though not listed on the site, you can get 16"-17" low profile tires. They are a little stiff but work well. http://www.eightyone81.com/ And From scaleproductions, these are of better quality, you're just going to pay a little more for shipping from Germany. http://www.scaleproduction.de/index.php?cat=c10_Wheels-Tires-1-24-Wheels-Tires-1-24.html&XTCsid=eb81nba8uvi33hdcr7iko39if6 Here's a comparison of scale productions tires compared to kit tires And here's there staggered set.
dimaxion Posted October 2, 2015 Posted October 2, 2015 I'm still lacking FX70 Redlines / Bluelines for Factory Stock Early Muscle Cars . I have a pile of these waiting . Yes , i am that retentive . Factory Stock is the hardest catagory to build IMHO . That would impress me enough to be a consumer . Not just an admirer . Thanx ..
Jeremy Jon Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 (edited) True there is a lack of low profile tires in the hobby for certain sizes, and that you can buy without having to buy wheels set to acquire I'm working to correct that Edited October 11, 2015 by Jeremy Jon
