Stacy Fenton Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 I'm from southern Iowa and have gotten back into model building after finding heart problems and gotten surgery to put in new pieces. With the added time on my hands I got back into building models. It's been fun relearning all the things I used to do, 15 years ago. I subscribed to this mag and the other one. I have other hobbies as well so I won't be blowing any threads up with any "great" builds, just here to learn as much as possible. I'm a basic builder mostly box stock but, I have cut a few molded in rear ends out. Other than that it's engines and wheels/tires changes. I have a bunch of parts already, I got on Craigslist and kept looking until I found a guy not too far away (lol, 2 hours one way there) that had a couple of boxes full of stuff from the 60's and 70's. It's been neat looking through everything to see what I got for parts. This is my relaxation now.
Ramfins59 Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 Welcome back to the hobby and to our plastic playground here Stacy.
disabled modeler Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 Welcome Stacy... I build for the same reasons basically...great way to pass the time even though I have built since I was about 6 or 7 years old. Welcome back to building.
wayne swayze Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 Hey Stacy! Glad to hear you're back into building model cars. It's a great hobby and this is a good place to learn stuff.
