Smart-Resins Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 Alright I had a Revell chopper I had worked on last year. I had converted it into a custom trike. Had it painted and almost done, everything except the engine. There it sat. Eventually it got knocked over and broken, then found a box to hide in. After Ken's and Rat's posts, it rekindled a flame. It is back onto the bench for a mad dash for a model show next month. I cut off the top and rear of the frame and made a new section and took the forks that were broken and will be reworking them and make them short. Will have to remake the mounts as well as they were brok. Was going to do a rear wheel mount like a stock bike, but just found some torsion bars off of the Big T so I may make a custom mount for the rear wheel. Also looking at maybe 2 lights and a pair og gages with ape hangers, leather saddle seat and a reworked belt drive with custom air cleaner and brass side pipes.Lets see how this turns out this time. Ken Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 Alright, there ya go!!! If anything, these choppers are quickly rekindling my enthusiasm for building. Glad to see you are pulling yours out!
RatRod Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 (edited) Good start, let's see what you do with it!!! I actually liked the trike version too!!! Edited March 13, 2008 by RatRod
Smart-Resins Posted March 14, 2008 Author Posted March 14, 2008 Yall might think I am crazy, but I may also be the only one in history to attempt this? I have cut aprt the engine into seperate pieces so I can rework them and make them look more realistic and detail them better. Heres a shot fellas. Jody
