How about a beefier diff to cope with all that power up front and wide rubber down below? Maybe a quick change?

I do not have a quick change ...or know where one is....would definitely love one, my parts box has no 3rd members except for some goofy boyds

U shaped!! ;)

Sweet ride! Great job! I love when the builds are documented with lots of pics.

Are you going to Rat it out, or make it a show truck? That may help decide which tires you go with... I think both sets of tires look great (IMHO).

I had suicided my front spring on the low rat I built and I think it came out pretty good. I altered the front spring and raised the rear frame where the axle mounted, but hadn't Z'd the frame. I was able to get it Very low (as in sliding a piece f paper under it, but nothing else).

Keep the pics coming!

I did about the same on my '31....I love the rat style(you can butcher it and pretend you can still ride in it!!! :P:P

I want to make it showy but a driver...not ratted out this time. I did drop the blower in favor of a 6 pack with scoops... :D:rolleyes::lol:

Thanx for watchin and your comments!!

Hey Mike, I have an extra quick-change rear end from the '43 Willy gasser pickup that I just finished. It has separate leafsprings. Send me a PM with your address and I'll drop it in the mail.

Mike,

Those rearend parts look like they were meant to be there!!

It's a little difficult to tell from the pics, but it might look better if you move the mounting points on the axle for the leaf springs and the traction bars out towards the wheels just a little bit to "square-up" the look of the parts.

Either way, now you've got some serious transfer of power going on out back!!

Looking good man! Have you decided on a color yet?

Thanx......I'm looking at sunrise pearl with champagne gold accents....but I'm not sure 100%:o

Wow Mike, this thing is surely coming along. Though something tells me those wires shouldn't be like that.

He's space constrained in the engine compartment, so he's going to go with distributorless coil-packs in the trunk. :D

:blink::blink: Wires?????? Those are gonna be hooked to the bridal to harness all those poncho ponies!!!!!! :(:o:D

How about some color?????
