It's a Mazda 757, predecessor to the 767 and the legendary 787B. It was powered by a short crank 3-rotor engine called the 13G. It was built by Mazdaspeed for Le Mans and other Prototype racing competitions.

Correct! Were the Vega Nomads a conversion or factory? I have only seen one and imediately wanted to shove a small block in it... But the owner wouldn't sell it. I had a '74 Wagon at the time with a 350. Fun car...

By the way, you, me and this car are all in Texas...

Cheers Nick! If it's Mazda and/or Rotary I tend to know a fair bit but I would be the first to admit my knowledge on Sports Car/Prototype racing isn't that good but I'm learning all the time.
