Ramfins59 Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 With all of the hoopla and hype and so many people jumping right into building the new '29 Ford kit (I haven't started mine yet), I was wondering if anyone has started in on the new '47 Chevy Coupe kit from Galaxie...??? I started working on mine yesterday by sanding the faint mold lines and doing some minor dechroming (door locks, trunk lettering, drip rails, smoothed the hood). My plan is to build a mild Custom (frenched head & taillights, skirts, ribbed bumpers & Sombrero caps from the chopped '48 Ford kit). I'd love to give it a chopped top, but my skills are not up to that task) It would be great to see some enterprising resin aftermarketer come out with a chopped top body).I'll post some pictures when I have a bit more progress to show.
High octane Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 I finished mine for the AMG Milwaukee NNL this past April..............................................
bismarck Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 I was hoping you'd post more pics of your coupe Nick. It looks AWESOME!!! I haven't started mine yet either.
gbdolfans Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 Nick,Yours looks fantastic!!! Where did you get the blown engine.I take it is not in kit. That blue paint is SUPER nice.Beautiful color!!!!
Ramfins59 Posted October 26, 2015 Author Posted October 26, 2015 Nice work Nick. I look forward to seeing more...
High octane Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 Thanks for the comment guys, and I believe the engine is the 392 Hemi from the Revell Willys kit. The paint is Acapulco Blue Metallic Testors spray paint.
