had a mishap with the big dog the other day. he tried to get off his leash and I dropped him on my desk.

this caused the right front steer to break off the axle rolling to the back of the desk ,and on the floor into no mans land where it will remain til I decide to move my desk.

the right side fuel tank, battery box, and exhaust manifold also decided to bail out. the cab also broke away. (doh) !

in another post clayton mentioned how he uses the moebius wheels and I had a set of unused steers, so the lightbulb went off (although dim !) .

I raided the spares box for a new axle and worked it to except the moebius wheels and tires. I did away with the steerable front axle, with all that resin the thing is heavy

and the front end was too floppy. very pleased with the result. (thanks clayton !)

the rear drive tires were replaced with r.o.g.'s from the w900 dump truck I had years ago. it needed a clean because it was getting dusty and I decided to take some shots of the engine

when the cab goes back on not much will be seen.

    Gino,

Good job on the save! I like the change in the front wheels .

About the parts the went under your desk. I keep a 18" ruler handy for just such events. Even though my workbench and desk

are both on casters and move easily..
