Bowtienutz Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 Please forward this to anyone that may know JJ. Tough time for our friend. JJ was in Columbus Ohio for a Forest Service conference, had a bad fall and is now in the ICU at Grant Medical Center in Columbus. My wife & I came out here today from Va. and have seen him and his mother several times-frankly,it really doesn't look too promising for our friend. a blog for people to keep in touch about his condition and to write any messages they would like for him and his family to get. Even though he's unresponsive, we believe that reading messages and good wishes to him will make a difference. Here is the link to the blog: http://jjsmith1.blogspot.com/ Thanks, Dennis Cox

Billy Kingsley Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 Did he post on this forum? I'm afraid I don't know him. He's got my prayers anyway!!
Rudy Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 I also do not know JJ, but have just read the blog. He looks like a beaming young gearhead with an infectious smile. I am also in a wheelchair myself, a T-4 Paraplegic. Lung congestion and Pneumonia are BAD BAD BAD news, as when paralyzed you cant cough this stuff up and it just fills your lungs and must be sucked out which is also very painful. I dunno if JJ is paralyzed, but i do know that Lung congestion when bed-ridden is bad news. On a side note, I am building the Gas Rhonda Mustang funny car he is sitting by in one of the pictures. I sure hope he can pull through........ Prayers going up! Rudy
