basket19 Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 (edited) Hello everyone this is my first post here. I was thinking of getting a new airbrush as I had been using one of the really cheap Aztec airbrushing and its been having some issues. I saw one that looks pretty decent on ebay and was wondering if anyone had any experience with them. Its an Air Pro PS900 dual action airbrush. It appears to be pretty good but I can't really find much info about them. here is the link to it http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...e=WDVW&rd=1 Edited March 20, 2008 by basket19
Brendan Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 I can't find too much information on this company. But from the information that I did find, it sounds like it's more like an artisan's air brush. The stuff I found on it was for doing nails at salons. It didn't sound like it would be too good for painting car bodies. I always have reservations about seeing air brushes for this low of a price. The questions that arise off hand to me: Can you get replacement parts? Can you get different size needles and cones? And are they easy to obtain? What's the price on the parts? I think you'd be better off with going with something like a Badger or Pasche or Iwata. The price may be a bit more but it's easy to get replacement parts.
Guest Gramps-xrds Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 It might be a matter of preference, but I don't like gravity feed guns. Their way to hard to clean. I have 2 Paasche vl's and 2 badger 150's. All duel action. The paasches (1 is a vl-5 and the other is a vl-1) I use for models. The badgers I used to use for pictures on motorcycle tanks and other fine things. Paasche's are tough and will take some abuse. The badger's are lighter built and not as tough. Their all siphon feed and can be cleaned just by inserting a clean bottle of thinner, and spraying some through. What you want and can afford is up to you, but my advice is buy the best you can. It will last a lot longer. Mine are 20 to 30 yrs old and still work fine and I can still get parts for them.
