Aaron_F Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 (edited) This is my first build thread here since 2009. I 've been a member for years but never posted much. This build is going to be heavily influenced by a 1:1 car owned by hot rod artist Jeff Norwell. I started with the Revell kit and added a front axle from the new roadster kit, with brake drums from the Blue Bandito. In the rear, there's a Monogram Red Baron quick change with brakes from the Bandito and a Model A crossmember. Wheels and tires are from the '29 Roadster. The engine is from Revell's '40 Ford and it will have a Scot blower from Replicas & Miniatures. The color will be similar to the Norwell car. Anyway, here's what it looks like so far: Edited November 27, 2015 by Aaron_F
Aaron_F Posted November 26, 2015 Author Posted November 26, 2015 (edited) Since this picture was taken, I've decided to change the k frame for a '40 Ford x member. Edited November 26, 2015 by Aaron_F
Phildaupho Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 This going to be one very nice Deuce Coupe
Aaron_F Posted November 27, 2015 Author Posted November 27, 2015 (edited) I hope so! Progress has been really slow so far. Edited November 27, 2015 by Aaron_F
kevjoh Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 Interested to see how the R&M SCOT blower goes together, I've got a couple of these, the workmanship of these is "spot on" kinda' hesitant to build them, all those blower pulleys look quite daunting, especially to a "bumble fisted" builder like me.Also like the idea of using the 40 Ford rear cross member.
mod3l Lover Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 Aaron, Your coupe looks sweet indeed! But it is sooo unfair.I'm building a '30 Ford coupe right now that I plan onstarting my build thread tomorrow. I too am using a blown flathead motor in my build!!But I'm sure there is enough room to go around forboth of us in the blown flathead area of interest. LOL!! Happy building, David S.
STYRENE-SURFER Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 Aaron, Great start. Is that the "32, 2'n1 kit? There are some nice parts in that kit, That flattie will be very cool with the scot blower. What heads are you planning to use?
