LUKE'57 Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 AMT Rumor Mill working overtime on the new 3-in-1's! It only takes a new small parts tree and a set of decals to add a whole new demension to modeling these days. I hope all you young whippersnappers get to enjoy what us old codgers have known for over 45 years....modeling ain't about rivet counting or factory paint codes.....it's about imagination and creativity. Now where's that orange and white tube of Testors glue and those little bottles of Pla?
Joe Nunes Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 (edited) Cool pic Luke'57!! I DO remember those tubes of glue and those little bottles of paint...but then...I remember having lots of black hair that isn't there anymore too Edited March 23, 2008 by rhoadapple
tim boyd Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 Luke....really enjoying all your AMT kit box mockups.... Gotta take issue though with your one statement.... "modeling ain't about rivet counting or factory paint codes.....it's about imagination and creativity".....actually modeling IS about ALL of the above....just depends on your point of view and interests. To a replica stock builder the availability of factory paint code authentic lacquers is exceeded only by the introduction of Bare Metal Foil back in the early 1970's.....point is, today we can enjoy ANY and ALL parts of model car buildilng depending on where our interests lie....and for many of my builds counting rivets or having all the wiring is the last thing I care about.... but I'm glad we can all do our individual thing and still be part of this great hobby. Keep those new box art mockups coming....TIM
