pcm1977 Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 (edited) I recently acquired a Monogram '41 Willy's Pickup. I never make my models authentic, but I try to be as accurate as possible. I have a question in regards to the plug wires. Where do they go on this engine? Does anyone have some insight, either the location of the plugs or the type of engine that comes with the kit so I can research it myself? Thank You Edited December 12, 2015 by pcm1977
426-Hemi Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 I do believe Jeff is right! The '41 Willy's car I have has a 392 Hemi in it, this one you have as the truck looks to be a Ford SOHC 427 (ALSO a "Hemi".... The pic Jeff posted, the plug wires are the black ones that are on the back "lip" of the valve cover.
pcm1977 Posted December 14, 2015 Author Posted December 14, 2015 Thank you both, this is a great help.
pcm1977 Posted December 15, 2015 Author Posted December 15, 2015 The other question someone might know the answer to would be if i was to put a distributor on this where would it be? Or should I just have the wires disappear behind the engine, because there is not a lot of room between it and the firewall?
