Madd Trucker Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 After the passing of my wife of 45 years 9 months ago . I for the most part walked away from every thing except my family. mainly building models I am now getting back to building again and hopes to finish most of what I have started , It is good to be back at the bench .
Petetrucker07 Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Sorry for your loss. Good to see ya gettin back into something to occupy your mind. It's rough, but you can't put yourself in a "box" for very long. I did the same thing after my dad passed. I put myself in said emotional box for 7 years. Then I started gettin back to the things I enjoy and enjoyed with him.
426-Hemi Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 Sorry for the loss there fella modeler! Its hard.... life goes on (I'm still not over the loss of my Dad and that happened over a year almost 2 years at this point! So the feeling of loss is difficult, BUT the modeling bench............A way to cope my friend, time is the best medicine for such, BUT the modeling will be the best therapy..... Clears your mind. AND (for me at least) I've found that, if I build something, that reminds me of my Dad (in your case, it be of your wife) helps quite a bit, it brings out those good times and even the bad times that you can sit an laugh about now! So....Good to hear your back at the bench! It really will clear your mind and open up and all.... But Time my friend will be what truly heals you from the loss!! God Bless....
tbill Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 Richard, glad to see you back at the bench hope to see on the chat one of these days and catch up.
