Lizard Racing Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 I started on a '63 Corvette featured in the December issue of Hot Rod magazine. Here is what I have so far: I cut out the floors in the chassis, just like they did on the 1:1. I fabricated the heavy sway bar on the front. The engine is out of the box except for the fabricated magneto and detailed carb. I used an interior from an original '64 (no molded-in seats), blanked the instruments and fabricated the 50 gal tank and the roll cage. I have been building '63 Vettes since 1963, so I have some parts left over. There is a good video on UTUBE where the current owner talks about the car.
GTJUNIOR Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 60's Corvette, I'm following this one. Looks good so far.
Bob Ellis Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 I have the Hot Rod article about the Mystery Corvette too. Thinking about doing the same car as well. Are you going to leave the bumpers off and reshape the rear a bit where the bumper would fit in?
louie Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 What an awesome subject to do. I read the article too and really learned a lot about something that I didn't know existed. Keep up the good work and thank you for sharing this with us. Jeff
