I REALLY dig this whole combination.  I can't wait to see this one done.  This is inspiration for a future truck build for me when I get the time.

Thanks guys!  I'm planning on priming again today after fixing some ghosting issues. Also plan on spraying the chassis black and getting on with the assembly of it, and at least get a nice "rolling frame" ready for the body when I get it complete.

Put a thin black wash on those lug nuts and they will POP !.....I'm lovin this build, by the way.........'Z'

Finally got some time to work on the truck today after work. I finished shaping the other exhaust pipe, got the body parts reprimed, sprayed the chassis in Tamiya Semi Gloss Black, dark washed the lugnuts on the rims (thanks Steven!) And got the bed painted and BMF'd.

 

Really pleased with the outcome of the body since I had ghosting prior to this. Thanks guys for the superglue tip over the putty.

Thanks man! Didn't really have a lot of time to work last night, due to playing with my new airbrush.  I only got to get my brake calipers painted up and glued the rotors on.

Got time tonight to finish the exhaust, with the exception of painting it. 1/8 " styrene tubing, mufflers from the parts box which I filed notches in them to slip over the styrene tubing, and the cats are from the ssr kit.

Thanks man. I decided to do this even though it was a little more involved because I'm tired of seeing turndowns, lol. Nothing against them, just over done.

Not much of an update, didn't really have much time today to work on the truck. Did use my airbrush for the second time tonight. 

Got the front wheels nounted. Sprayed the exhaust and manifolds in Tamiya chrome silver then shot some bronze over them to make them look rusty from heat cycles.

Got all the body parts painted with the Mica Silver basecoat tonight, and the rolling chassis complete. Just have to install my rear shocks and paint my oil filter.

 

Tomorrow I'll lay down the clear orange color and get it ready for clear coat.

No problem.  He's an awesome guy, and I will be getting more sets in the future as well.
