I am still trying to decide paint/interior colours.

Should i go high-impact, or use a softer colour?

Chassis is almost done, just finishing up the 440 six-pack

I am using the better, wider wheels and tires from the older Revell 'Cuda kit

Front and rear spoilers are being used, but i am using a slightly bigger deck spoiler from an old AMT kit

Did they have a high impact blue for this year? I never see these cars in blue.

I found this online, it's not high impact but looks good with the black striping/accents, I think it might be 'Lucerne blue? Not sure.

I love it; I'll be starting one soon myself. Where did that hood come from? My kit (Monogram) only has the grabber hood. Also, was your front end piece a really lousy fit?

Well, back in the '80s Monogram made this kit minus the GTX emblems,

And this was the hood feom that kit. I found a built up kit on ebay years

Ago for cheap, so i grabbed it just for the hood.

My lower front end piece seems to fit okay, but it will

Require some body filler I think.

OK, thanks. My kit had a terribly misaligned lower front piece, requiring several applications of filler and CA. I guess I'll just stick with the grabber hood on mine then.

Something i did, you may want to do too....i dropped the front spindles. The stock height

is just a bit too high for me, so i took my saw blade on my exacto knife and cut them off, flas as possible, and re-glued them higher in between the a-arms.  This trick worked great, and it really looks alot better.

I have 3 of these kits, I just did one in "lemon twist" yellow/ black interior which really looks sharp, but they also look excellent in medium metallic blue (like b5 or so) with blue, white, or black interior

lowering the front end makes a big difference looks good,

this is a beautiful car, looking good and I'm looking forward to see what colors you choose

I would build it using a softer color, but if your not sure just build another one in your second color choice.:)
