drummerdad Posted March 19, 2016 Posted March 19, 2016 I seem to remember a thread with a 1/12 scale 69 Camaro, that had an LS1 in it. I have scoured the internet, with few results( I did find a triple pack of corvette engines in 1/12 scale, but I dont think that will work). I would love to build a Foose 69, but I think it would need a modern engine and wheels. Im sure this has been beat to death, but does anyone cast engines for 1/12 scale models? There arent many options from TDR innovations.
LDO Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 It's here. Look for a thread on page 2 by Ralph Torres.
drummerdad Posted August 20, 2016 Author Posted August 20, 2016 (edited) I have looked around and tried to contact Ralph, with no reply. I did happen across this today... http://shapeways.com/shops/3d-model-specialties I havent orders one yet, but they seem to have an LS3 and a FAST intake, among other parts. Has anyone bought, or used one of these engines? They have a lot of 1/12 scale stuff on page 2. Edited August 20, 2016 by drummerdad more info
Ralph Torres Posted August 23, 2016 Posted August 23, 2016 I never got a message from you.. maybe something went wrong but yes i scratched built an LS motor and a Mountain Motor for the 1/12 Camaro... i havent really been on here much because i started on a 1:1 project and has been taking up all of my time.. The 3D Ls3 from shapeways is,a beautyfull piece...i bought a complete engine. You wont be dissapointed... my friend Ron Olsen is the owner and he will have many more parts available soon...
drummerdad Posted August 27, 2016 Author Posted August 27, 2016 Thank you Ralph. I have been watching some of your builds, as well as some of the other guys building the 1/12 and 1/8 camaros. I emailed TDR and the said they werent making them, and were way too busy to take on any projects. I searched for days, and finally found that link. But, as my luck goes, I forgot my login and password for shapeways, and Im waiting for them to email back, and unlock my account. I suck with computers anymore. But I do want to get one of those LS3s. That will fix my engine needs.....Now I just need some 1/12 and 1/8 wheels and tires....

I was planning on building a block and heads from scratch. Thank you!!!!!!!!
John Clutch Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 I just order the LS3 block and heads, the RS/SS grill for the Camaro and tie rod end kit. Thanks again for posting this!
drummerdad Posted September 1, 2016 Author Posted September 1, 2016 Good. Im glad someone can use this, thats why I came back and put it here. I spent some time last week just looking through shapeways online pages, to see if there were any more parts. I started following a few designers that make some nice stuff. You will have to let me/us know how good it looks when you get it.
