Kardar2 Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 Hello,Re: kit Revell 1:32 Bristol Beaufighter Mk 1FI am new to modeling and this is my very first plane I am doing. Now the colors they want me to use is is a lot. A couple of them require mixing. Now looking on the Web I see a bunch of different paints used. I know it is all different from country to country and also where they were used such as pacific or Europe during WWll. So many variations of tans and greens not sure what ones to use. I will be using Model Master enamel paints. So my question is:What colors could I use that would look good without doing mixing and such. Thanks for the help
Snake45 Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 Google-image Beaufighter Mk 1F. You'll see dozens of pictures. Pick the scheme you like, then go to the hobby shop and buy the closest paints to those colors you can find. If you want to be lazy about it, you can paint a Beaufighter Mk 1 overall black.

Snake45 Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 Testor/Model Master used to have all the common RAF colors in an "international" line but I think most if not all of them have been discontinued. And only the larger dedicated hobby shops carried the whole line anyway (which is prolly why they got discontinued).I don't know what's available to you. I'm in a small town myself and have learned to regularly hit hardware/home stores and so forth to see what's useful in the Krylon and Rustoleum, etc lines. Sometimes you get pleasantly surprised.
