oldcarfan Posted May 7, 2016 Posted May 7, 2016 When I was a little kid, getting a new model required a two hour lecture on how money didn't grow on trees, so there was a hierarchy in my model shopping. It went, MPC as my first choice, then AMT, then Revell. The next tier was Aurora, Lindberg and Palmer. They were at the bottom of my personal list and I would only get one of them if I had to. Speaking of Palmer, I wonder who ended up with their molds?

I got Lindberg kits because they were cheaper; I got $1.50 for "allowance" and when AMT, MPC and Revell went up to two bucks, I had to make do! Now those Palmer kits...I got one as a young kid, and never ever got another as they were crummy as heck..bad models...and now, they go on Ebay and other sites for an alarming amount of cash...No thanks, I'll spend more to get better stuff..
