dub Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 I started this one when it came out and screwed up the paint almost right away. I still built the chassis and motor but managed to put it away after that. When I was sure I was going to the NNL, I wanted to finish it for the class there. Back out it came and the second attempt on the paint was much more acceptable. I decided to save the Caddy mill for use in a hot rod though, and built up a small block Ford motor from one of the Revell 32 kits. Only other parts added were the single bar flipper caps from the Revell 50 Ford p/u. Paint is Tamiya TS-57 Blue Violet with more of that VW lacquer clear over top. Thanks for looking!
CB Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 I second that e-motion Gramps! Fantastic photos too, Dub. Just love this shot. Later, ######'n

Raul, Actually, there was a classification for the RM '49 Merc, and yes, there some INCREDIBLE Mercs on the table. See my pics of the NNL East here...... http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v472/Blu...%20East%202008/ Mike
