Hello fellow builders,

I think I got a little too excited about applying a second coat of paint on a model, and didn't let it cure properly before doing so, for now

a large spot on the roof is wrinkling. What is the easiest way to deal with this, without stripping all the paint off which I am not in the mood to

do or have the patience for. Thank you in advance

Bruce, I usually apply three color coats of paint on my bodies at 20 minute intervals. I then clear coat the body the same way 24 hours later. I've never had a problem doing this.

As for the wrinkled spot on the roof, you didn't say whether you were using enamel or lacquer paints. If lacquer I would let the paint "cure" for a week, sand the wrinkles out, mask the body and re-shoot the roof. If enamel paints were used I'd let the paint "cure" for 'bout a month and then sand the wrinkles out, mask the body, and re-shoot the roof. I hope this helps.

I would wait as Nick, suggested and sand the roof after masking the body. I would lighty sand the spot and light sand the roof. Light coats are better then heavy ones.
