Clay Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 Just thought you guys would like to see my son's started collection, there are more then this but not much more. I opened one of the singles and forgot how fun it was.
Nick F40 Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 good to start early. I have cases upon cases. This brings back memories.
Clay Posted April 13, 2008 Author Posted April 13, 2008 Bet you can't guess what the one in the top left corner is
Nick F40 Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 Oh, I don't know, it just shows it in the case and the artwork. I have that same one in orange, I like the blue though.
Clay Posted April 13, 2008 Author Posted April 13, 2008 Its the new Studebaker At-A-Tude funny car. Anyway here is his monster truck collection so far (you know better than him not have any!!) For those of you that don't follow Monster Jam on Speed, from left to right, Predator. Maximum Destruction, Iron Outlaw, Virgina Giant, Scarlet Bandit, GunSlinger, not pictured, Bounty Hunter. And these things are rated for their age group!!! They show that they are played with by a 17th month old
Nick F40 Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 At-A-Tude, thats it, I couldn't think of the name. no Monster Mutt?
Clay Posted April 13, 2008 Author Posted April 13, 2008 Oh, I don't know, it just shows it in the case and the artwork. I have that same one in orange, I like the blue though. They have an orange one? At-A-Tude, thats it, I couldn't think of the name. no Monster Mutt? No not a full collection yet
Nick F40 Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 I am definetly not going through my cases now but I think I see it and it is silver actually, it just has orange clear parts. I also have a blue one actually.
RodneyBad Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 good to start early. I have cases upon cases. This brings back memories. Ditto. I don't even collect them but I keep picking New issues that are interesting.
oldcars Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 My son(in his 30's) bought me one a few years back and I made a mistake of telling him how cool it looked. After that whenever any special time came up there was another one. All the family then thought I loved them,so you know what happened then. Well, then I started finding ones that hadn't been bought for me. Lucky for me and my lack of space, my grandson(who is eight) loves them also. He thinks grandpa is so cool and loves it when one of my Hot Wheels rolls his way. He knows my collection better than I do. Sometimes I buy two of the same car and put them around my display. One day he will come in and inform me that I happen to have two of the same one. Yes, one goes home with him. I am in my 60's but this has become a fun thing for three generations. Can't beat that. Glad to see another family having fun. Richard
marinewifejones Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 we need a pic of him in his "like father like son" shirt while he is playing with all his monster trucks
marinewifejones Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 hey clay which one is Little Tow and which is Zooy in your siggy pic? for those of you who dont have young children, TLC has a show all about bigfoot's son and his friends (a cartoon obviously) and david loves it of course
george 53 Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 Heeeeyyy Ani, hower ya feelin? Nice to hear from you again! Is David really small, or are his trucks bigger than normal hotwheels?I've never seen those particular truucks but they don't look to be normal hotwheel size. Are they 1/64th?
marinewifejones Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 feeling pregnant (which is blah cause i dont like being pregnant but thats a whole other story) The monster trucks are larger. They are in the same section as the regular hotwheels but these are like $10 a piece and I dont know what the scale is just that Clay seems to think we are supposed to buy a new one any time we go to walmart, kmart or target.
george 53 Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 AAAWWWW,he's just a proud Daddy. My daughter Joy's 30 now and she STILL got all the "Pretty Ponies"I would buy her every time we went to the mart. Now HER daughters playin with em!Semper Fi!
Clay Posted April 22, 2008 Author Posted April 22, 2008 they are 1:24, and whats wrong with buying him a 5 or 10 pack of hotwheels or a monster truck everytime we go to Wal Mart?
Guest roadkill2525 Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 Clay seems to think we are supposed to buy a new one any time we go to walmart, kmart or target. Be glad he doesn't have this many yet. The three boxes contain the 2004 First Editions. This isn't half of what I have.
Guest roadkill2525 Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 I want the Goldberg one Thats the Team Meents truck, by the time I got these the Goldberg trucks were discontinued and nobody had any backstocked. On the other end is the 20th Anniversary Grave Digger.
Darrell Gwinn Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 maybe i should drag my collection back out and get some pics... be prepared to be amazed! lol

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee haha, i have way more hotwheels than i do models, but i stopped collecting them quite a few years ago, to me it just seems these new ones dont have as much character as the the older ones. i think the newest ones I have are from '02 or '03. but hey, post yours up, id like to see them!
Darrell Gwinn Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 ahh, the matchbox cars just dont fit in with the hotwheels
