foxbat426 Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 (edited) Hi, I've started an amt 1949 Mercury Club coupe and notice there is no numbers next to the part that points to a color on a "paint key" or chart. Other than the stock upholstery color that could be chosen in 1949 for the seats and the body color, there is no color suggestions for the engine, under carriage, mufflers etc etc. I don't think i'm missing any paper work. has any one built this model and noticed this?? is this common?? What to do? Should I just wing it. I really like sticking with the actual stock colors that came with the car. Any suggestions?? Thanks, John Edited June 12, 2016 by foxbat426 added a word
High octane Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 The AMT '49 Mercury kit has been around for a long time, and is a good kit in my book. Usually when building a lot of my models I just "wing it" as far as paint colors go. However if you want to be fairly accurate, I would Google the '49 Mercury for factory colors, interior colors, under carraige photos, etc. Good luck with your build.
