  1. Hi, Been away for quite a while. Good to see this discussion. Is anyone printing whole 1/25 scale bodys with resin printers? I know some of the build plates on the newer printers are certainly big enough. Just wondering. Thanks john
  2. Hi, In the confusing world of 3D printing, I was wondering if anyone has printed a 1/25 scale body on a 3d-printer? Has anyone done it here and can it be done with a hobbyist FDM or resin type printer, lets say for under 500 bucks. If not what are the limitations? Also what is the type of printer of choice for our hobby i.e. a FDM Plastic shooter or resin shooter? I see lots of people doing model car parts and other intricate toys and such with much more detail than a model car body, yet the web is devoid of any real 3-d printed model car pictures other than some small toys. does anyone have a website were I can look at what hobbyists are doing? Happy holidays to everyone!! John
  3. You’re right. At first I thought it was a 70 Fury Grand Sport. Beautiful car
  4. I am continuously amazed at the builds on this site! Beautiful!
  5. Just my speed, stock! Beautiful Merc Marauder. Oh How I long for those old beauties!
  6. Dang you’re good! It is the 1/24
  7. Thanks MeatMan! It is the 1/24 kit, just checked it. I’m partial to the 56 also. Beautiful Car! Thanks for the offer, I found the ornament this morning in my dogs doggie bed amongst bones and a few other things I’ve been looking for lol. He didn’t get his teeth marks into it so I’m going to go with it.
  8. Thanks!! Color usage is always a problem for me. I saw this combo on a real 56 on the web so I went with it.
  9. Great build!! Love it!
  10. 56 Bel-Air. My first two tone. Testors Enamel. Need to get the plates and misplaced the dang hood ornament! Lol “They’re never quite finished, even when they are!” Thanks for looking. John

  13. Love it! great work. looks a little like the Family Truckster! I remember searching the internet for a cast resin or model kit of the 1971 Plymouth fury III. i think it was your name that popped up with a cast resin 71 Fury III. are you the same guy? any chance you could cast me a 71 Fury? Happy holiday and great job! John
  14. Nice build! Great interior detail work!
  15. Thanks shoopdog!! It Took me a few tries getting the pics to upload properly to the forum, but I think I got it down now.
  16. AMT 1971 Plymouth Duster. Paint is Testors Metal Flake Grape.
  17. Thanks everyone for the great comments on the Mercury. This is a fantastic forum, I learn so much here. Modelers are a great bunch of people and I’ve never felt so welcome than on this forum. Yes the biggest problem on this build was the fender skirts. Thanks StevenGuthmiller for the suggestion on shorteneing the axel and also on the masking tape trick. I’m going to do it as it was the one thing that was really bothering me, it just doesn’t look right. John
  18. I Finally finished this one to my liking. Paint is Testors Gloss Black enamel. had a good time doing this build and I learned a lot. Thought I would share some quick pics. Thanks for looking and thanks to all the great builders on this forum who always help with questions I inevitably have. P.S. the fender skirts on this one were a real PITA! Haha
  19. Glad it worked for you Magic! Its amazing the difference between 70% and 91% strengths. Like night and day. 70% doesn't budge, but that extra 21% concentration really does the trick. for enamel and lacquer alcohol is my go to stripper and I've tried them all. for Acrylic i like Simple Green. Happy Building!! John
  20. Hi. I’m doing a pro street duster in purple flake and the directions call for the under carriage to be the same color as the exterior. Is there a reason for this. I like to do under carriages black, but have never done a pro street before. It’s probably a stupid question. Think it might look strange with the under carriage as the same color as the car. Thanks. John
  21. Hi. If you use a paasche h air brush, I was wondering what spray configuration you use, the #3 or #5 when spraying bodies? In your experience does one give better results over the other? Thanks. John
