Drake69 Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 (edited) Well, finally time to post up some pics of what I'm working on. My first build in well over a YEAR., Interior mostly finished... still adding a few things... Fire extinguisher mounted between seats and behind spare tire... Custom bracket for shovel and diamond plate flooring... More coming... Edited June 12, 2016 by Drake69
Drake69 Posted June 12, 2016 Author Posted June 12, 2016 Better shot of the dirty'ed up tan interior... Obligatory engine shot, also oiled up somewhat... Test shot of the olive drab body resting on the frame...
Drake69 Posted June 12, 2016 Author Posted June 12, 2016 (edited) Test shot of the rollbar support behind the seats... Test shot of the white canopy on the body (leaving it removable...) 2nd test shot from the side... More to come. Edited June 12, 2016 by Drake69
Drake69 Posted June 13, 2016 Author Posted June 13, 2016 Thanks! After a lot of fussing and fighting, got the body to behave well enough to glue it down to the interior... I had to mount the rear gate and bumper to get the back to sit like it's supposed to, otherwise it probably would've bowed in when I put on the rubber bands. Now letting it dry and hopefully the tailgate will open and shut like it should. Thank the maker for rubber bands.
Drake69 Posted June 13, 2016 Author Posted June 13, 2016 Added tabs to the shell so that it would hold to the body better. Now it won't readily shake loose... Still need to install the rear glass in the shell.
gatorincebu Posted June 14, 2016 Posted June 14, 2016 Allen, You have that looking pretty good . I like the things you added to the interior . Question Are you displaying this as a used dirty truck ? Are you going to scuff the tires to remove the shine ? Be Well Gator
Drake69 Posted June 14, 2016 Author Posted June 14, 2016 I need to figure out how to make the body more "dirty" without destroying what I have on it now. I'll have to research on here the best way to do that so I get it right rather than screwing everything up and make it look forced and unrealistic.
