935k3 Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 I am starting this one now, I will be engineering the fit and assembly, then paint the body for now. I usually only do that much in the summer then build complete in the fall and winter. Mainly because of my electrical layout I cannot airbrush over the summer. I am looking for to building this historically significant car. It is the 1967 1000km of Nurburgring winning Chapparal 2D. This is the Modeler's kit which is far better than the Monogram kit. The moulded open wheels and the tires are beautiful. There are polished metal parts for the gas caps and rearview mirrors. It is a curbside with a moulded in the chassis engine.
ismaelg Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 This will be a very interesting project. Looking forward to see it unfold.
Kribblig Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 They are long discontinued but appear on Ebay almost weekly for $50-75 but can hit higher with the right combination of bidders. Modelers also made a Sebring and possibly other versions with a resin body; they tend to go for much more $$$.
