Pau7060 Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 Hi I am going use Testors Aztec Emeral paint shot of a Airbrush . What can I use as a clear over this . I have used this with future floor wax before on my 1966 Chevy Nova . I am going use the same paint to do a 1971 Buick Opel . I am looking a clear that,s a bit tuffer than the Future . Slot cars use lot oily and sticky traction compounds and motor lubes. Any help would be great Paul
dragcarz Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 I like two part automotive urethane, DuPont Chromabase, is what I currently have. A quart has lasted me years. This stuff is very durable and will stand up to even nitromethane, which will act as a paint stripper for most enamels and lacquers.
Bad dog Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 All I use is the the cheap Walmart clear on the Aztec paint
Rider Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 (edited) 2 part auto poly has been my choice, easy to use, good coverage, always glass smooth and pretty tough too. Edited June 29, 2016 by Rider
