iBorg Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 I'm wanting to machine some 1/16 aluminum wheels. I'm pretty sure I'm getting a Sherline and rotary table. Any recommendations on what end mills such as shape and size I should buy? Thanks!Mike
John Clutch Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 I would use the biggest endmills I can fit for whatever part im.going. Im sure 1/8, 3/16 and 1/4 both in flat and radius will be required. And if you plan on turning the outside of the wheel on a rotary table also, for the entire width of the rim, a 1/2 will be required otherwise it will chatter.
iBorg Posted August 1, 2016 Author Posted August 1, 2016 I'm really wanting to make 1/16 Centerlines and the like.
