WoodyRDC
Are these kits different or the same. I like to build 1 of each year - but not if they are same
High octane
They are not the same.
Roadrunner
The real cars are different enough from each other (front and rear end, mostly), that the two models are correspondingly different. How accurate either one is, I really can't say.
Sport Suburban
They build up the same but they are very different. The grills, and tail panels are year specific and same for the interior. Now I know all the 69 kits have a vinyl top but the Dick Landy 68 race car has no vinyl top and race parts only. The later 68 stock kit has a vinyl top and steel wheels. Drake69
Pro Tip: If you buy both the 68 and 69 kits, you can swap the bodies in order to get a vinyl roof 68 or a hardtop 69. The only thing that would need to be altered are the front side turn signals, otherwise they are the same.

Sport Suburban
On the Dick Landy 68 kit the body had 69 square marker lights cast in. The directions told you to fill them in with putty and use the decals provided for the 68 markers.I think this changed on the later stock 68 Charger kit.
