hey all - hope i can put this  post here - the 57 came in blue plastic - can i paint any color over it or do i need to get a primer ???? - don`t like that color blue -

   I would put a coat of white primer

like the Tamiya fine surface type.

   If not just for the fact that then

whatever color you choose you will

not need to worry about how the

base color looks under your new

color choice.

At the bottom of the forums main page is a Q&A section especially for this kind of thing. 

To answer your question, you should prime every body you paint. Think of the primer as a pre-paint check. It will make every flaw and mold line stand out, so you see the issues before you paint.
