Hello everyone, I just picked up the super boss kit and want to do this kit justice. I have been searching for reference pics on the net and found a few sites here on the forum but they do not get any closer than if it was at a truck show. Does anyone know of any place on the net or any where else that has good pics of the frame and engine really close up? Also a good match for the light and dark blue paint used on the body of the kit?

You can find lots of pictures of Tyrone Malone's trucks here:

And Here:

They the best places to find reference photos of Malone's trucks, both sites are from the same man, Ken Harris, who worked for Malone and drove the Papa Truck transporter in the European Tour back in 1989.

Just keep in mind that there has been four versions of the Super Boss with slightly different paint schemes,
The first Thermo King version from 1974-78, the first Bandag version from 1979-88, the later Bandag version from 1989 and forward and finally the latest version as the truck was repainted again by the current owner Gary Ries, the decals supplied in the kit are for the first and second versions up to 1988.

Here are a couple of engine pics from those sites.

Håkan , thank you very much for all your help and the info this helps a great deal and I am very much appreciated. I was about to just go custom on this build which I may buy another one and go custom on that one. However I want to build a stock version of this truck as I was very young when this kit first came out and was not able to  build it. Now that they have re-issued I want to not only do an exact copy but give it more detail than  just box stock. Again thank you very much!!!
