i know it aint much but how often do you see a durango model? this started off as a toy my lil bro had. there was a lil remote for it that made the alarm go off,the lights flash and it would move forward about 5 feet. the remote quit working or he lost it and he quit playin with it, so i took it, took all the electrical ###### out and rewired the lights to the on/off switch underneith. i painted it green metalspecks and added some better rims to it

thanks george. i wanted to get another dakota and transfor it to a durango with a explorer or blazer roof, but when i saw this a light went off in my head to build this, plus it was much easier. even though theres no interior or motor, i like it

I've got much love for the Durango!! Here's ours the day we brought her home.

2003 2wd, 5.9L (360) and the 3rd row seat.

Great job on the conversion, you don't see a whole lot of Durango stuff in any scale.

thanks guys. its was some random toy my lil bro had that he didnt play with anymore. it had a lil remote and there was a button to make it go and one for the "alarm". he lost the remote so it just sat in a box. i found it and gears started turnin in my head lol. and he still doesnt know it was his old one, even though the lights and stuff still work, i thought for sure he'd notice and get all pissy with me

My twin boyz have the Expedition XLT and the PT Cruiser that I have been eyeing for awhile now. I just might have to take those away from them now. I like what you have done with them.... was it hard to wire up the headlights to the on/off switch ??

id like to see that expedition done. i know they make pt cruisers in snap kits already.

the lights were easy to wire up. i just removed the motor and disconnected the lights from the remote sensor deal and hooked em up to the switch instead.

and thanks for the comment
