GTC Posted October 16, 2016 Posted October 16, 2016 Thought I'd stop in and introduce myself. I've decided I want to get back into building model cars so I can have a hobby that works with my work schedule. I love to hunt and fish but work doesn't allow as much time for it as I'd like and working on my Jeep gets expensive. I built models as a kid but eventually got out of it. About all I ever did with models was build out of the box, the biggest modification I made was chopping the roof on a Chevy truck. Now that I've decided to pick the hobby back up I want to do more and I figured this was the best place to learn. I look forward to learning as much as I can and getting to know some great people.
slusher Posted October 16, 2016 Posted October 16, 2016 Welcome to the forum and back to the hobby Garrett!
Tarbosaurus rex Posted November 24, 2016 Posted November 24, 2016 Hello there peeps. Total newbie here . Been building model kits ever since I was a li'l kiddo. Quit for years then returned a few times, but I guess it's part of my nature . So here I am back at it. I read a post about a GM Coach PD-4105 Scenicruiser Greyhound bus and, believe it or not, been searching for its 1/24 or at least 1/36 model kit since last August, so far unsuccessfully. It was a great pleasure to see some other posts about that magnificent American "icon", designed by none other than the great Mr. Raymond Loewy. Whoever saw one of those on the move, immediately fell in love with it, I daresay. At least I did. Always wanted to ride one, but never had the chance. I rode the other great PD-4104 and 4106 coaches but missed the '07 as well. Must've been quite an experience, I suspect. Anyway, I think its pic with the "Pepsi" color code from 1956 would be a great addition to your site, so here it is. Keep up the good work fellas and I certainly hope to hear more about its becoming a reality soon. I shall NOT miss te chance of getting one, if ever released. If you wish, I can send some other pics of airplanes I've built. Shall wait for your posts. See'ya soon .
