kk916 Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 (edited) As you may have seen in the General Section, I picked up a Revell Impala SS kit at Michael's for 2 bucks. This isn't a car I'd normally build and I honestly dont know that I'd ever own one but I figured it would be fun to mess with. I figured my El Camino project had frustrated me enough over stupid little things so I sat it aside for the moment. Several things crossed my mind. I thought about doing a Panel style conversion. Thought about doing a station wagon then thought it would look to much like a Roadmaster. Then I even thought about going the "Donk" look but then I sobered up and came to my senses. Then it hit me....Convertible. I'm going to jump on Photoshop before I make it a for sure thing and I still need to figure out a source for the convertible parts but I think I may just do it. If I do screw it up, it was only 2 bucks. I've spent more on dumber ideas. Any suggestions on the top? Edited May 8, 2008 by kk916
george 53 Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 K.K. Since you don't know if youd ever own one, I suggest you find someone who does and ask for a ride. You'll change your mind FAST! I've owned 3 of them my first one was killed in a traffic accident,My 2nd one was stolen, and my present one is kept garaged just about 24/7.It'll blow the doors off mustangs and marauders. It's only got bolt on stuff, no engine work, and it's still a handfull.I tend not to drive it so much anymore cause the last one was ripped off. But, it is a big,FAST, comfortable car to have ride in, and I'm sure you'd like it!

I'll bet that keeping the tank full on that battleship is a good time!
george 53 Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 Harry, That bad boy's got a 24 gal. tank(total cap.) and since the price of gas has gone crazy I NEVER even let it get a 1/4 tank low cuz it's a bitch to fill up! Only runs on 91 octain.I usually only let it get dowm 1/8th of a tank before I fill it!
bandit.93 Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 this might be kind of out there, but how about a t-top?
Dragon7665 Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 I'll bet that keeping the tank full on that battleship is a good time! Yeah $80 to keep my '96 Caprice full of 92, but it's too much fun not to getting it there
kk916 Posted May 9, 2008 Author Posted May 9, 2008 this might be kind of out there, but how about a t-top? That might be kind of interesting...think i'd have to convert it to a two door though inless I'm missing something
