Revells Experimental Turbine Engine?

Was Revells parts pack turbine engine based on a real engine?

No...though it's based on the general appearance of some early turbines.

It's a mashup of several turbine-looking parts and kinda random things stuck on to make it more visually interesting. 

I've done a considerable amount of research into this.
