Mike Chernecki Posted May 14, 2008 Posted May 14, 2008 Time to buy more primer, bought my last can 10 years ago. Which Dupont primer should I buy? What do you use? They no longer sell the lacquer primer I had before.
Scalefinishes Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 I highly recommend SEM flexible primer surfacer. It’s a primer for use on automotive plastics. It is lacquer based and thins well enough for airbrush use with lacquer thinner at a 50/50 mix. Goes on thin so it will not hide details. WILL NOT pull off with masking tape. Hope this helps.
envious8420 Posted May 23, 2008 Posted May 23, 2008 (edited) i use sandable filler primer for bodywork. it fills pin holes and can help with minor imperfections. (thicker) if theres no bodywork i use sandable primer. (thinner) Edited May 23, 2008 by envious8420
