I highly recommend SEM flexible primer surfacer. It’s a primer for use on automotive plastics.

It is lacquer based and thins well enough for airbrush use with lacquer thinner at a 50/50 mix. Goes on thin so it will not hide details. WILL NOT pull off with masking tape.

i use sandable filler primer for bodywork. it fills pin holes and can help with minor imperfections. (thicker)

if theres no bodywork i use sandable primer. (thinner)
