oldcarfan Posted January 14, 2017 Posted January 14, 2017 (edited) Sometimes it feels like I have almost as many unfinished kits as I do new in the box kits. I am through with my Master's classes, my work schedule has eased up and I need to do something. So for the new year I'm going to try to actually follow through with one. Here is my first victim for the New Year... I've had it since 1997, still in the box. I was planning to build it box stock, but I'm thinking of doing something like this for a change of pace. Nothing that I can't reverse if I ever want it stock and probably with better paint than the ratty 242 pictured here, but something along these lines. Edited August 26, 2017 by oldcarfan
oldcarfan Posted January 15, 2017 Author Posted January 15, 2017 Sorry, this should have been in On The Workbench. I can't figure out how to move it.
D. Battista Posted January 15, 2017 Posted January 15, 2017 Interesting project... Good luck with it...!
oldcarfan Posted January 21, 2017 Author Posted January 21, 2017 (edited) I finished the car this afternoon and took a couple of pictures. http://i1342.photobucket.com/albums/o767/garyb11/volvoFinished_zps2ngvbynd.png] A little while later I started working on a few final details and some driving lights and a roof rack with cargo. This is what I was aiming for. Anyone want to guess what happened next? RIP Volvo! I found most of the body parts except the grille, headlights and a few other parts. Back in the box. Maybe some day I'll find the rest of the parts..... Technically, I finished one for the new year. Edited January 21, 2017 by oldcarfan
