wisco8 Posted March 14, 2017 Posted March 14, 2017 If anyone has a cool tip on how to get the edges of these decals to lay down better, or if there is a way to clear coat over them it would be appreciated. Thank you, Steve.
Dragline Posted March 14, 2017 Posted March 14, 2017 I use some decal set followed by Tamiya clear or Future with a little flat base to tone down the gloss.
935k3 Posted March 14, 2017 Posted March 14, 2017 (edited) If all else fails I sometimes use a 10/0 paintbrush and paint over the edges with Tamiya acrylic flat or semigloss black depending on the sheen you want. Edited March 14, 2017 by 935k3
Mr mopar Posted March 14, 2017 Posted March 14, 2017 I use Tamiya Clear first ,just paint the tire where the decal will goes let semi dry then place decal on tire , your done No silvering or edge of decal showing.
Silver Foxx Posted March 14, 2017 Posted March 14, 2017 I settle them down with some setting solution and when dry I spray them with a coat of Testors Dullcote , takes the shine off the tire as well . Hope this may help .
